We swam with John and Jack (the dolphins) only a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. One of them (cant remember which one) is a rescued dolphin from Java, he was in a pool with chemicals therefore lost all his teeth, now he is thriving at the Melka as the large swimming pools they are in have sea water pumped in daily from the ocean using underground pipes. The staff are constantly walking around the pool netting out the seaweed. Also if this particular dolphin were to be released he would die. They are feed extremely well and the staff are very caring, if they think the dolphins do not want to swim with any people they will tell you to come back after they have rested. Dont worry about what others say, if you want to do this then do it, perhaps it will put your mind at ease like it did me..........personally I cant wait to get back there next year and give them more cuddles heheh.........have a wonderful trip and if you decide to do this Im sure you will love it......cheers Trace
