Hi, you might like to do a search of the archives about Idul Fitri which is the end of Ramadan and should be 13-14 October this year. Quite a few people have posted saying there are a few public holidays around this time and is hectic time with lots of domestic visitors. You might want to look at booking more than just the first 2-3 days before you go if staying in Kuta or Legian.
I've booked for 19 October onwards with no problems so all the excitement must be over by then. Have a great time.
