We pre-arranged with Ni Luh from The Adopta-co-op ladies to meet us at our hotel to order printed and embroidered t-shirts and polo tops. We did this 2 years ago and were very happy with the service. These tops are for hubby's band members and the quality of material is excellent. They are just starting to fade after 2 years. My cousin puts in a regular order of printed t-shirts with Ni-Luh over the internet and sometimes pays by money transfer or as we did delivering the money for him with postage included. He said it takes about a week from posting to arrival.

Off to Janoko Tailor in Poppies 2. Great service, always busy. Hubby ordered 1 charcoal suit, 2 shirts, 1 jacket and 1 yellow suit! Yes that's right yellow! His band plays 60s music so this suit is for the hippy set they play.Suits $45 ea. jacket $35, shirts $13 ea.

Hubby bought 2 pairs of jeans $5.00 each and 1 jacket $10 at Carrefour the other day but had to have 1 pair of jeans shortened and the cuffs shortened of the jacket. He organized one of his bali friends to take him to another tailor on the back of his motor-bike. (Bit scary he said )Cost rp.15,000 the lot! Bargain. He did give this guy more.

Sunday afternoon we picked up Trifena (15 yrs old) one of our sponsor children from an orphanage in Denpasar. We took her shopping at Ramayana mall. She needed a new school bag, socks, sports runners, thongs and underwear. We also discovered she needed new prescription glasses because she gave hers to her friend to hold while she played sport and her friend lost them. Trifena was using her uncles glasses which isn't good for her eyes. She said her prescription is -2. We arranged the next week after we got back from Lovina to take her to the optical place in Denpasar. An eye test showed she is now -3 so she picked out nice frames, we paid $114 and the next day they were ready.

Popped over to Sanur to see Jenny, fixed price shop No. 29 Sindh market. I wanted to get some bags but she didn't have a big selection and I didn't like the ones she had. Bother, now I'm going to have to bargain for them..lol . Ended up buying 3 bags and 4 wallets and probably got ripped off...lol but that ok, I'm sure they need the money.

Day 7 our driver took us to Ubud to the stunning Tegal Sari. Staying 2 nights. I booked direct with the hotel at $35 per night, per person. What can I say, its everything you all rave about. We had one of the new super Deluxe rooms upstairs #20. So peaceful and relaxing sitting in bed or on the balcony over looking the ricefields waiting for breakfast to arrive.
I want to go back now! The only trouble was hubby realized there was no TV or radio! He gets bored quickly! I bought a couple of books in ubud and convinced him to relax and read one.(To hold the mountain) It worked but I couldn't get his nose out of it! Lol I can't win! The breakfast was on the cool side when it arrived and the area around the pool needed to be spruced up a bit but would I return to Tegal Sari, Oh yeah! Definitely.

I did my home work before arriving and wanted to try some new restaurants. One was Dirty Duck diner. Another stunning place!
Absolutely lovely. If you get there just before dust you will experience this restaurant by day and the ambience by night. Well worth a visit and food was nice.
Next day we were brave and jumped into one of the local Bemos (public bus) and rattled up to Tropical Bale restaurant. Just pass Indus restaurant on the left. Another great find over looking rice fields. The food was fabulous. Up market with amazing toilet. (as big as a bedroom)
Another one was Lotus Lane restaurant in monkey forest road Lovely setting with gardens and water features.

Day 9 checked out and our other regular driver Artana picked us up for the trip to Lovina. We called in to visit the family of our Balinese friend here in Adelaide to drop off goods from her. Her family is always happy to see us and treat us as family. We shared drinks and snacks then off we went. Called into Crackers bar just ordered lunch when David, part owner came in. He joined us. We enjoyed his company and catching up on all the goings on around Pacung. Very nice toilets! Thanks for the chat David nice to see you again. Looking forward to eating at the new restaurant.

To be continued...
