Kayem, I hope you were not expecting to be too close to the restaurant/shops because the Balisani suites are actually at the top end of kerobokan between 1 and 2 miles from Ku De Ta. That may be the bad news for you but!! there is a free shuttle service to Kuta and it is only a short walk (200yds most) to the Warung Sorbat. A super little restaurant which is very cheap and a favourite with ex pats. Beware you do have to book your table, which in itself is unusual for Bali at the moment. We have not stayed at the Balisani but we had a quick look around last November and it looked very nice, albeit quiet, and excellent value for money. The only rooms that did not seem to have been refurbished were a couple on the ground floor just behind reception. So if they give you a room near reception that you are not keen on ask to see a refurbished room. Apart from that, the pool, grounds and beach looked nice. We are actually travelling at the end of October from the UK and have booked the Balisani for a couple of nights for when we arrive. I am sure you will enjoy. Let me know how you get on.
