Ketupat, behind Jonathan Gallery in Jl Legian (for the exact address, do a search here) serves superb Indonesian food in a delightful candle-lit, poolside setting with individual Bales as well as standard tables & chairs. Cannot praise this place enough. For years it has been consistently excellent.
Any Indonesian would be thrilled to be shouted a meal here. Ice cold Bintangs available. For the incredibly high standard of food, as well as variety, the prices are amazingly cheap (we pay around Rp140K for drinks & food for 2 - every day prices but special occasion setting). We recommend any of the several dishes which come with rice surrounded by numerous morsels.
It's far cheaper & much better quality than Made's Warung in Seminyak, which we consider to be a rip-off. They have opened a new restaurant (Ketupat II) in Dewi Sri Street, Kuta as well, but haven't been there & not sure where it is.
