$A100 are easy to exchange & PT Kodak shops are very safe, you can also use banks, just check the condition of the notes, no ink marks, no writing on notes, no nicks or bits missing. The easiest way until you get used to tens of thousands in exchange, change $100 at a time, carry a calculator, put in the current rate of the day ie. $100 x 7840rp = 784,000rp.have the calculator facing you whilst they count out the money. Counting out the 100,000 part is easy, it's when you get to the smaller amount it's gets tricky, like you could mistake 300,000 for 30,00rp. (That's what happens at some of the money changers they short change you in the smaller amounts,) so it is so much safer to use PT Kodak, have never had a problem with them in 25 trips, they also give you a printed out receipt.
Once you have your money & checked it then ask for them to break up the larger notes, it's the easiest way to do this, keep your small notes like 5,000 & 10,000rp for cab fares as they never have any change of bigger notes (or so they say).
