Well this is it, the final days of our trip

Saturday 28th July

Tony, Linnett and the girls are leaving today so we all had a fairly quiet day.
The gang arrived about 11am after checking out of the Puri Raja, had some last minute shopping as you do on your last day, we went with Tony as Linnett and Madison are both quite ill with the flu. Linnett jumped into our bed and slept most of the day whilst Maddie still had enough life in her for a swim.
We watched the Dockers get a thrashing from Geelong, that only made Tony and Maddie feel worse.
All decided to have dinner at the Stadium as by this time Madison was in bed with a high temp and bad headache and we wanted to keep an eye on her.
Ordered extra towels for everyone to have showers (nothing is too hard for the staff at Ramayana) by this time Maddie is violently ill, vomiting, the poor little thing (9 years old) anyway Elvis on time to pick them up and they were off, I hope they are all okay as they are all unwell and I am worried about Madison.
We just decided to go back to the room and watch a movie as the day we thought was going to be fun turned out to be quite draining and it wasn't anyone's fault.
As we lay on our bed we reflected on our invitation we received earlier that day from Nyoman, the owner of the Ramayana group, he in fact had invited Ross and myself for a complimentary overnight trip to their resort in Candi Dasa, oh well family comes first and we can do the trip next time.

Sunday 29th July

Woke early this morning and after another scrumptious breakfast at the Ramayana we decided to finish off all our shopping so the last couple of days could be spent on total R&R before we go home.
Discovery Plaza 1st stop, shoes and I found a perfect pair of stilettos in a denim fabric and on sale, a bargain, next down to the basement for a wander around Sogo as that wasn't there last year, what a fabulous store beautiful fashions at reasonable prices but I am on the lookout for some gym gear, found just what I wanted and on the way out picked up some new boaty thongs.
We thought whilst we were on a roll it was off to Matahari, Ross picked himself up a lovely grey suit (The pants are a bit tight but he says he is going to lose weight, yeah right!!) he also bought another pair of Playboy shoes, he has been buying them for years, says they are so comfortable, he also found a couple of t/shirts and some socks.
Next down to the beach to see Johnny about my sunglasses cases he is having made for me but everyone said they hadn't seen him so back to the hotel for some salami, cheese and biccys as we didn't have lunch today.
Ross decides he needs a nana nap and I nick over to the markets and pick up some lovely orchid plants, look almost real.
Dinner at the Asian Affair again and another early night as we were both feeling a bit off.

Monday 30th July

Woke up today with a really bad headache and sore throat so I am glad that we finished the shopping yesterday.
We have been invited to lunch today with Wirasa, the Ramayana Resident Manager, he is such a lovely person.
Lunch was fantastic, I had the Cap Cay and Ross had chicken, the food was superb and I can recommend the Ramayana anytime.
After lunch we decided to pack our gear and just leave out what we needed and then just lazed around the pool as we were not feeling any better, just had salami, cheese platter for dinner, bed early.

Tuesday 1st August

Woke this morning still a bit off so after breakfast decided to book in for a 2 hour treatment at Melasti spa for 1pm, thought it might perk us up a bit.
Well as usual they didn't disappoint and we both felt fantastic afterwards so decided to go to Sammy's bar at Kuta for a while, Vic and Amanda were there and we decided to go to Un's for dinner.
Un's really is fabulous, it sort of has an ambience all of its own and the food if just fabulous, after dinner management sent out frozen lemon margaritas for us all and that just finished of a great evening.
The walk back to the hotel was lovely, a soft almost cool breeze was blowing and those wonderful aromas only Bali has, you know the ones we love to go back for were wafting past us, we watched the bustle of Kuta square with tourists shopping and others enjoying dinner whilst a few were excited as they had won some fabulous prize ( the ones we have all won) and as I looked around I knew this is where I wanted to be, I just love Bali and all that it is ...
I slept well that night...

Wednesday 2nd August

Well I know why I slept well as this morning I have woken feeling really sick, coughing with a temperature, not well at all, Ross went and got something from the pharmacy but nothing would move my headache, spent most of the day in bed sweating it out, boy am I glad that we have already packed almost everything.
In the afternoon went down and said goodbye to Sammy and all our friends at the beach, gave them all some presents, picked up my sunglass cases from Johnny, which he had my business name B'Jangle on them and said we would see them in December and went back to the hotel to meet Iluh and Rikha who were meeting us at 6pm.
Completed the packing, had showers and got dressed so were ready by the time Iluh arrived.
We all went to the Stadium for dinner and afterwards back to the room. We had packed up all the leftover salami, cheese, olives, dry biscuits, sweet biscuits for Iluh and gave Rikha all the sweets I still had along with the 2 pool noodles we took up with us.
As I have been feeling awful the last few days I never drank the rest of my Champagne including a bottle of Moet so Iluh is minding it until December.
Said our goodbyes and set off in the hotel bus to the airport at 10.30, our flight leaves at 1.30am.
We knew we were over by about 6 kgs between us so were prepared to pay but to our amazement we not charged anything, maybe she could see how sick I was, so we breezed through check in and decided to go to the Prada lounge, 100,000rp each but it was so worth it, Ross pulled 2 chairs together and the staff got me a pillow and blanket and I slept for 2 hrs until we had to board, we were in row 5 directly behind Business, I don't remember too much of the flight home, Ross continually shook me and said I was burning up, I recall him putting a cold towel across my head, but I just wanted to sleep.
Arrived on time at 5am, through customs and home in bed by 5.30am and sleep wonderful sleep in my own bed. I was at my doctors at 11am and he said I had the flu, a temp of 39.6 and gave me some tablets and medicine and told me to rest.

Well I am finally feeling better and I'm thinking about December when we head off again, in fact its only 3 months, 20 days, 10 hours, 44 mins and 45 secs until we leave for our 36th trip to my second home, I cant wait to get back to my Island, my Bali, my Love.

Well guys that concludes my epic JBR, I hope most of you have enjoyed it as much as I have reporting it to you, if you have any questions feel free to ask or send me an email.
I will say if you are going up I would seriously advise a flu shot as the flu is running rampant there, I know I will be having a shot before December!!
