I think Helenz covered it pretty well. We stayed at Taman Sari in june and loved it. All rooms are good. We stayed in an Ocean view cottage and our friends in a Junior Suite Ocean view cottage. Both superb, the Junior Suite had it's own separate room with huge daybed and pond and fridge. Both had great outdoor bathrooms. The grounds were immaculate and the staff super friendly, especially the pool barman, makes a good caipirinha and caipiroshka. The restaurant was excellent , try the Bebek Betutu ordered a day in advance. I have heard the other restaurants are also very good, next trip maybe. We organized snorkelling from the hotel, 250K each including gear, transport, boat and lunch box (baguette) So easy. If you are in doubt with the gear, take your own. We took snorkels and goggles but used their flippers, no worries. The sunset view from the temple on the hill at the end of the beach is stunning, left along the beach till the end , then left on a small track to the bitumen track right and up the steps. A driver would be best, maybe try the Bedugul, Lovina road there and the Pupuan, Antosari road back to Ubud, depending on your itinerary. Do a search for Ubud and you will find lots of options. Depends how long you are there. We were 6 days there this year and still didn't find time for ww rafting. Marym covered it well. A good trip is to Tampaksiring and Gunung Kawi , lots of steps but good with a nice cafe at the entrance, and then back down the Tegallalang road stopping at endless woodcarving shops. Try lunch at Hanging gardens Resort about 10 kms north. Fantastic food and stunning views. A day driving south through all the galleries is interesting. The restaurant scene is brilliant. (see my JBR in july for more details) Any questions, just ask, I'm sure you will have a great trip
Cheers
