online. Read all the fine print and conditions. Seriously.
I have been doing on line bookings for some time and do them for friends as well.
If you are in a group or a large family it can pay to see a travel agent as straight fares with accom ( package types) can at times be gained cheaper.

Remember the cheaper the fare often comes with little if no flexibility. This can be no changes - loss of money, non transferrable under any circumstances. Be certain of on line insurances and what they cost. Know what the minimum connect allowable "transit" time is if on a point to point air line and not a full service one. What currency are the fares quoted in ? ( add your bank cc charges to this )

Above all else make sure whoever you book on line with a travel co or a airline direct that you have a local free call, fax email no in which to contact them if there is a querie or problem.
( based on my recent Tiger Airways experience)

I have tried most of those web sites. On a lighter note Also check bestflights.com WA Co. They charge I think $14.50 per booking but even that charge I found a flight cheaper. If not its fun to watch aeroplane zoom about finding your flights.!!
Hope this is of help
