Visited the throne room 3 times during the night. Probably need Dr. Bintang medicine to fix it. Anyway we had breakfast and a guy walked along the road holding up magazines and newspapers for sale, as he did every morning, and Beth said she needed a new magazine to read during nibbles and bintang time. She bought a current magazine all sealed in plastic for 40000.We then bought frangipanni hair clips for our granddaughters for far too much but the poor lady had been trying to sell them to us for a week. Bought a few cans on bintang from the pregnant young lady in the shop across the road from the PR to bring home for our sons, and then spent the day around the pool until it was time to shower and dress for dinner at Legends with Bev and other members from the BTF. What a great evening. Xmas in July and bev had her family and friends there as well. It also turned out to be her and Ross's wedding anniversary, so the champagne flowed and a great time was had by all. The floor show was good, especially the cocktail maker/ juggler. Bev's son sang a special song for her and Ross which was quite moving. We left the party in full swing and took a walk back to our hotel. We were approached by young girls on their motorbikes asking if I needed a massage and I probably did but not the type of massage they were selling, besides I had my wife with me!!!!!! Next day after a late breakfast we went on dennisc suggestion to Carrefore.Very new building with shops on 3 floors and a very large supermarket on the top level. Sorry dennis, we did not get to try the hamburgers. You can almost buy anything you like at this place. then took a taxi down to Kuta Square and walked around. As we were heading off the next day we decided to lower the amount of bintangs that we still had in the fridge which was now working perfectly since we defrosted it. Packed most things in our bags and headed off to BaliBaguse for dinner. Again it was good food and very friendly staff. Well that brings us to our last day Finalised packing of bags and booked out of the hotel We were early for our transport driver Sammy who we had booked two days previous so sat down and waited.Ten minutes after our pick-up time and sammy had not arrived, so pulled a taxi in off the street and away we went. At check-in the young lady asked us if we were interested in forgoing our flight and catching the next plane as they had over booked. They offered us free use of the airport longe with free food and drink plus a cash handout of 300 Singapore dollars for our inconvenience. To top it off we would be upgraded to Business class for the flight to Singapore. The down side was the next plane left 7 hours later. It was an attractive offer as we were going to holiday in Singers for the next 6 days anyway but we had arranged to catch up with our son who was travelling back from business in Bangkok and we were going out to dinner with him as he was travelling to Adelaide that night, leaving just before midnight.Thems the breaks. Would love to try that Business class experience. When we told our son he said we should have grabbed the chance. Too late, anyway he paid for dinner so that was a bonus. And so ends our trip to Bali and we now wait until next year, but the forum will keep me close. Almost forgot; the reason for telling you that Beth bought a sealed package of a magazine was that when she opened it and turned to the crossword it had already been half done and we spotted the same one in a news agent for 10000 less. you can only laugh about it.
