We went to Phuket for our honeymoon in 2005 and really loved it. My wife had gone to Bali the year before and thought Thailand was much better.
But my mates who we are travelling to Balli with at the end of this month hated Phuket and said they'd never go back.
I'll see how I go. I though nothing could beat Phuket after staying there and I was certain that would be "our Bali", somewhere we would go every year.
I had heard it was a tad more expensive than Bali. But I've heard everything from the beer to the cds/dvds are a better quality.
