We budget for $150 a day, thats for 2 adults, and 4 kids (2 children & 2 teenagers), thats for shopping, meals and drinks. We have always returned with money.
We tend to eat at medium priced restaurants, ensure breakfast is in hotel price. shopping for gifts and things for us, and drinks (tens to drink Bintang and occassional cocktail). We also try to arrange our tours and things like that before we go, often get better service and deal than arranged on site.
We do not go out to night clubs, and bars all night (not our thing), hope this helps.
