Here's the next instalment,

Wednesday 18th July

Brekky around 8am, boy I am already into holiday mode or should I say Bali time. I am a little to sunburnt to lay around the pool today so it has been deemed a shopping day. We thought we would take a gentle stroll, do some bartering along the way...well we arrived at Ramayana around lunch time so had a quick bite at Asian Affair, great fast food all around 35000rp a dish but well worth it, I had Soto Ayam with rice and Ross had Sweet & Sour Pork which he enjoyed and we had a Bintang to keep us going for the afternoon.
Off again, arrive at Discovery Plaza a few kilo's lighter from the walk I'm sure, not much shopping, checked out prescription glasses at Melewi, not much cheaper than home for multi lens with a sunglass effect so gave them a miss. Ross bought some trendy shoes and we got a free 1 hr foot reflexology/massage which was delightful, decided not to walk back so grabbed a taxi back to the hotel around 3.30pm.

Tony and the girls were poolside so I made up a platter of Salamis, cheeses, olives and biccys and a jug of Illusion to get us through to dinner.

Oh remember Prue the Illusion queen, caught up with her around 5pm, seems she wasn't immune after all as she had been throwing up all day and was very shaky on her feet and looked like hell, she seem's to think someone must have spiked her drink, poor Prue, will 18 yr olds ever learn? I do hope she feels better tomorrow as she really is a lovely girl.

Dinner at Le Monde, food okay service needs some attention. Called into Legends for a quick drink and arrived home around 11.30pm.

Thursday 19th July

Up around 7am, very hard to sleep in even on holidays, Tony's girlfriend Linnett arriving today at 11.40am, looking forward to her joining us.
Decided to head down to Dogs Tail today and get my babies a couple of pressies, the rate today is excellent (7875rp = $1). Picked up a new leather collar for each of them and a Bintang singlet for Milo and a ‘I love Bali' t/Shirt for Sammi. All up cost around $70 aus.

Decided to carry on and check out some jewellery, I do sell jewellery at home and stocks are low, picked up some fabulous new pieces, in all spent around 2.5 million and very happy with purchases.

Back to the hotel in taxi as jewellery heavy, poolside for afternoon then off to Mama's for our traditional feast of Pork and mash, Ross has been raving to Tony how great it is since we arrived....Bang!! what a disappointment, the pork consisted mainly of fat and the crackling was non existent so washed it all down with a few Bintangs and cocktails and put it down to unlucky, never had a bad meal here until tonite.

Called in for a drink at the old or should I say new Bali Rock Café on Melasti St, the reno's are fantastic they now have been awarded with the best 5 star toilets in Bali, do yourself a favor and have a look, the biggest problem is the band, it's far too loud and we left after one drink.
Started walking home and called into Hula's for their last show, always good for a laugh or two, home around midnight.

Friday 20th July

Late brekky today....poor Rosco not so well today. Nothing to do with the copious amounts of Bintang slipping through those lips, no no he's in Prue's book, reckons he's picked up a bug and I know which one ‘the Bintang Bug'.
Played along with him until 1pm, actually I said I wasn't going to spoil my holiday and if he wants a hangover every day that's fine but I wasn't going to play Mother Teresa, you know the funny thing within half an hour he was feeling better and suggested we set off down Double Six Rd to a little place that make up some nice pieces of jewellery, so off we went with him feeling better or pretending to be.

After that we took a taxi to Geneva for a look, been there a hundred times before still have some great nic nacs but nothing for us this time, continued with the Taxi to Kuta Beach to meet Neil and Annette who arrived today also with Des and Annie, all staying at Inna Kuta mainly for location as they only have a week.
Found them in our regular spot at Sammy's bar in Kuta (not the S&S in Legian) A couple of Bintangs to welcome them, Ross picks up quickly, amazing what a Bintang can do for a man eh?.

Home quick shower and off to the BBQ party night at Legends, We had promised ourselves that we would eat at a different spot every night but what the heck we have fun every time we're at the Legends, the BBQ buffet was 45000rp and a great variety along with salads etc.

The floor show was a lot of fun, we saw Elvis Parsley, Michael Jackson, A Gay Review, Traditional Balinese dancers for a bit of culture plus the highlight of the show is the Bali Moon cocktail mixer, he can do some amazing tricks and juggling with full open bottles, if you ever get a chance you must go and see him...at the end of the show you can join in and sing with the band if you like.
A fabulous night was had by all, I would say our best night yet for fun and entertainment, Hula club again for 11.15 show, different girls? every night and home around midnight.

Well that's the next few days, I hope I'm not boring you, if I am just say so and I'll cut back on the ramblings.....otherwise enjoy.
