catdog, coming home from Singapore as a transit passenger you can purchase duty free and arrange to pick it up when you have passed into the waiting area. An announcement is made to collect your duty free and you just hand over your collection receipt and bobs your uncle. I did not take duty free into Singapore but saw heaps of people arrive with futy free bags. Hope this helps.
