I budget for $100 a day for myself when I go and always come home with plenty of money left over. But I'd rather do that than run out with a few days to go.
I think I averaged about $50-60 a day on my last trip two years ago. I generally eat at cheap to mid-priced restaurants with the odd lash out at somewhere a bit nicer. I also buy up big on gifts to spoil my niece and nephew when I get home.
I tend not to go out to the nightclubs and don't drink spirits etc. I do drink most nights, but tend to stick to the bintangs, so that's much cheaper than mixed drinks.
