WEll finally back, holidays over :( it seemed to pass by in a blur. Back to reality now!!

Hopefully i wont go over what i posted while in bali (the boss's mum had to have an unforseen operation while we were away and was in ICU - so posted my last jbr while checking emails about that) but she ok now.

Anywayz....

The days all seemed to roll together so will just post generally.

Dynasty, well this was bloody busy, full to capacity - still good but found it not as good as last time when it was quieter. We found we had to call housekeeping a couple of times to get the rooms made up - and a couple of times were told at brekky to come back later as the tables were all full. Brekky was great, everything you could thinnk of but by the end i had had enough of bacon and eggs, but it was a good start to the day (need to go on diet now!) Security was excellent, number plates were written down on all cars coming through as well as thorough checks of the inside and underneath the car. They also had a security "lollipop man" outside to help cross the busy road.

Restaurants, well we ate and ate and ate!!! Best was la lucciola in seminyak, cost about 820,000 for a family of 4, we had 2 mains, 2 kids meals, 2 cocktails each, kids had really nice homemade pasta and cokes, and we also had fresh baked bread. The ambience was probably the best i have had in bali (or anywhere) right on the beach with lights directed into the water so when it got dark you could still see the ocean. Beautiful!!

Also fantastic was bubba gumps - although got sucked into watching the movie forest gump as it plays all the time there, food was great, the boss had ribs, i had the mahi mahi with bourbon sauce and mashed potato - i am very fussy about mashed potato they were the best i have ever had and everybody else agreed. My meal was voted best, i wanted to go there again and have it again but time ran out.

Gateway to india, fantastic as always, prices have gone up slightly but still cheap for such a great meal, about 55,000 per dish, took friends there twice and had a ball.... they now sell wine there which was reasonably priced - about 120,000 per bottle of hatten white.

Pandangs, opposite centro was so so, i enjoyed my curry but others thought it was average - there is a tourist booth there - the type for booking white water rafting etc, we booked elephant park and mountain bike riding through wayan there. They were the cheapest in town - we were told by lots of people we got the best, cheapest deal there.

Poppies...... always such a favourite, best arak attacks ever there, all the food was good except for mine and the bosses steaks which were like trying to eat an old boot. Such a shame i have been there about a dozen times and have had fantastic food there every time. When i asked about the steak they said "ah local steak not imported" but i always have had local steak and its been beautiful. Will think twice about having steak there again...

Bali Aussie, had dinner there the first night, was pretty good and cost about 1.2m rupiah for 3 families including drinks......

Billys always good, had a couple of dinners and lunches there, pizzas are great and cooked well ( i dont like pizza that isnt cooked crunchy on top and most of the ones in bali arent cooked well on top)
the boys there are always good fun, had lots of laughs there.....

We had a free buffet dinner at dynasty, was east meets west - we had the mongolian bbq which was fantastic!!! kids went to the room and we got serenaded by the quartet that plays there at nights. They were really good, boss gave them 100,000 to buy a beer with afterwards! was nice to have dinner by ourselves.

we ate at a few warungs which are always good for the nasi/mie goreng

anyway more to come later, if anybody has any questions just ask :)

auds xx
