We got back in July from 2wks at Villa Surati II, Legain - we usually stay in a hotel, but we felt this villa was close to all our usual haunts. We try to go yearly - last time was 9 months ago in Sept/Oct this this June/July. We have two boys 17 and 11 - the villa was great with loads of room for us. We had friends staying at the Niksoma and at the Padma also with teenagers (2 19yo girls, 2 17yo boys, one 16yo girl) and they all met up - easy walking distance and if they felt lazy, jumped in a taxi. Villa Surati is in Jln Double 6, about 5 mins walk down double 6 to the beach and the beach front restaurants and 3 mins up to Jln Legian. We had two bedrooms and a bale with a double bed (incl fan mozzy net, lights etc), private pool about the same size we have at home, 4 sun lounges, a covered double mattress area for lazing around the pool in the shade and a huge lounge dining area. The girls would come in at 8.30 and if you wanted, cooked breakfast for you and cleaned, changed sheets and towels and washed clothing left around 4pm but you can let them go earlier if you want more privacy. We seemed to be out alot of the time so the staff could come and go when they had done their work... I would always stay in a villa now - we had so much more room, internet access, full kitchen (although we didn't cook!!) and 3 bathrooms plus an extra loo... it was beautiful and was more reasonably priced than 2 hotel rooms in the Niksoma or Padma for 2 weeks. Thoroughly recommend villa stays.
