We have imported a number of containers of goods from Indo to Aust to resell and it is very complex. You will need to have a good agent in Indonesia to ensure that the goods are packed in their best condition and that all paperwork is up to scratch (Aust customs will not accept ETO certificates from some agents). In Australia you will also need some good customs agents to clear the goods for you - I would also suggest that you make contact yourself with Aust Customs to check how they will validate that this your furniture (you may still have to pay duty and GST) and whether you need any specific licences/permits (eg if there is any waterhytacith).
In terms of costs, we usually budget in total around A$8k to A$10k door to door (Melb) for a 20ft container, so make sure what you are buying is worth it. (Note: if Quarantine decide to inspect and it is likely for contaners from Indo, this could cost a further A$3k to A$4k in demurrage/inspection fees.)
