- goods into Bali. Our hopes of solving the freight costs took a bit of a dent this morning when we got a phone call from our friends in Bali who had picked up the cartons of kids toys, pillow cases etc. Another $420 dollars passed palms because some of the goods were deemed to be new (and I have to admit that some really were) despite the labels saying they were used and also because there was no supporting documentation from the various orphanages listed to say that they receiveg charity goods from us. Such letters would have saved about $200. We'll know next time and do better although the $750 for 109 Kg's is still far better than we did last trip when excess luggage cost well over $1,000 for fewer Kg's.
