I've been to all three Gilis now... If you're lookng fow relaxing but still with a nice selection of little restaurants and places to have a qiet drink, then I would go for Gili Air. Gili Trawangan is obviously most busy (but nothing like the 'busy' of Kuta in Bali! Still very chilled out). I've been to Meno and liked it, but felt like there was not very much going on... lots of empty hotels etc, everything seemed quite spread out. Gili Air has the largest population of local residents of the three Gilis, which is quite nice as there are quite a few locals about. The general atmosphere of the place was very relaxed but not 'dead'.
