Hi was there two weeks ago with my daughter who hadnt eaten there since its been remodeled she loved it just as much as the old days.Yes its more upmarket its actually a very beautiful restaurant worth seeing. The food is more a-la-carte but so much to choose from I love to know I can go there and safely eat a delicious steak or chicken. The lamb cutlets are delicious the deserts especially the baileys comet(but share)its rich are the best.I guess it boils down to atmosphere its a loverly place to do something special at, my nephew had his 21st there. Also its quiet and relaxing the service is wonderful there are lounges to sit back and have a drink or coffee if not interested in food.Very popular with europeans who know how to be spoilt.Personally I can say food is great, its one of the best kitchens in bali so clean too.But I do miss the old days when melody would take me into the kitchen and cook me something balinese or a real hamburger but shes had to compete with the finer restaurants that had been built in Kerobokan. There are milllions of restaurants and warungs that offer bali food so its good to see bali offers diversity in restaurants, I wouldnt be able to afford the experiences I can have in bali here in australia. So to be able to eat at places like Venue at the moon,Ku De Ta,Living Room,Khamia Morroccan,Oberoi street and many more at prices I can fit into my bali holiday budget Im very happy. And no Melody is not at restaurant as much anymore she has many business projects going - especially her new villas that keep her very busy.I do miss the Melody greet at Venue and her stories but the food and restaurant are still worth a visit!p.s.check out the great cutlery I want some!
