Hi ellen,
Have stayed at the Tjampuhan Hotel a couple of times and it is great value for money and a hotel that has a great vibe.
However we tried Alam Shanti last time when we were in Ubud and have to say that it was even better value for money and the rooms having been freshly renovated are of a better standard. Each bungalow has one room up and another below so not connecting but perfect for a family or couples who want to stay together.
