You can't do either. You could ask the airport but as of the 31st March you could not carry any duty free alcohol through customs. It has to be either bought or collected airside. Where did you buy the duty free from? They should have told you about the rules. You can't pack it in your suitcase as customs needed to take the paperwork from the package. Perhaps you can return it if you explain the situation. The duty free shop knows the rules. I would have it out with them.
