we did the buggy rides a couple of weeks ago and it was SO MUCH FUN. The trip was broken up into two different areas and most of my group did the quad biking you could also do the buggy's. The quad biking was a little more fun and you can have someone ride as a passenger on them. I started off in the quad bike and at the half way point I swapped into the buggy with a passenger. The lunch at the end was great and all the staff was helpful and laughed along with us a lot. None of us had riden these vehicles before but we caught on quick. Most of us wore closed shoes, I wore crocs and one girl had thongs on. I would suggest bringing your sunnies if doing the buggy's as you are sitting down lower to the ground and it was sometimes dusty. We tried a few different booking agents when we were in Ubud but the price seemed set at all the outlets. From memory I thinks we paid approx $95 aus per person which is the most I have ever paid for a tour in Bali but once we had finnished our day everyone agreed it was money well spent. hope this helps
