our first trip was 1981 and we like you had over 20 year break. It is interesting the different feelings, we absolutely loved Bali on our first trip back after such a long break,(mind you first holiday with our sons) and just cannot get enough now, I love walking the streets the motorbikes the hawkers and then returning to our oasis small hotel on jl legian only metres away from all of this yet you would never know it. We do not however spend much time on the beach unlike 1981 but a day at Padang Padang is to me like the bali of early eighties. Cannot wait for our trip in September so much more to experience.
