My tip is to check their scales.Take a unopened bottle of water with you and place it on the scales. One litre of water weighs 1000g/1kg therefore 600mls is 600g etc.In 2005 600ml turned out to be 1.8kg at CAFE ULUWATU which has since been bulldozed. They offered me only 25% off my intended 200% markup. This year I tried SHARKEYS scales. They showed that my prospective dinner only pretended to be double its weight. The 600ml bottle weighed 1.2 kg.When i brought this to the attention of the fishmonger. He honorably honored the correct weight and charged us accordingly. The service was very good,by balinese standards and the sunset stunning,as usual.I think that most restaurants there must get their scales at the same place, someone should tell them that theyre getting ripped off.
