When you have a few numbers travelling together it can be worth looking at "villas" as you have all the extra space - lounge kitchen dining area and often own pool.
If you prefer 4* star travel this can be better than each paying for a hotel room. Add up what eachparty iswilling to pay for a 4* hotel room plus a bit extra willing to pay for villa roominess and then you have your budget.
Last year I had my driver run me about to check on a list of places for up coming visits. Sadly ourEaster 07 plans for family unfolded so I am planning to do same again next month.
One on my list is what Forumite Nicno has mentioned the Aston Sun Island Villas which are near Bintang Supermarket in Seminyak. So check their website. Mics web site has a huge range of villa ideas also.
The rest on my list fall below the 4* category.
Hotels - well have a look at the Mandira - the deluxe Rooms with outdoor showers are lovely. The hotel in a great position.
My only thoughts are there is so many 3* hotels available with much larger rooms, way less price and similar location.
