That adventure taught me to have on my kids when we travelled
A card each with our names and contact details. Hotel Name and phone number (not room no)and address phone no of relatives if we were interstate travelling.
Our "fire drill" included strict instructions of defining a meeting place on entering a shop, market, an event or basically anything with crowds of people or new places. Where we were to meet if we lost each other.
The card details to be used as last resort. Only to be provided to a "policeman". I was always paranoid about "stranger danger"
Ref. Hubby on his first visit to Adelaide I lost him in John Martins store in the City. I spent three hours in that store looking for him.. He too me. He even kept getting questioned by security. Apparently the rack with the towell specials , where we were to meet was on every 3 floors at the top of the escalators.!!!
I didnt want to leave the store because I knew he didnt have a clue where we were staying at my Grandmas house. Address details phone etc.We had only arrived the night before. !!! But I ended up sick of looking for him and figured he had left. To where I dont know??
Anyhow along story cut short I departed the city got home to Grannys - no hubby. About two hours later he rocked up !!! Do you know how many "Brown's" ( my maiden name ) are in the Adelaide phone book !!!!!!!!! hahah poor bugger.
