you obviously are very kind people but this kind of thing happens quite a lot and i personally think giving them money should stop because they will expect it next time, and again, and again.try and find a taxi driver in bali who has change for 10000 or 20000rp on say a fare that requires a few thousand change,i dont think so, they expect you to give them the change, i now make them wait while i get the right money. i like you have been over generous in the past these people need to work for there money like the rest of us ,please dont let it spoil your outlook on bali.as for the rats they are everywhere they have to eat to.
