Had my engagement ring remodelled in Bali on my last trip in Mrch. Went ot put it on and the diamond had fallen out!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't believe my luck, but I found it the next morning, four inches inside the door. If it had have been on the other side of the door it would have fallen through the verandah and I never would have found it.
I had it done at Toykyo First jewellers at the Bali Hai. My daughter also had two rings made from gold and diamonds there, she took them in to have them cleaned this week and was told that one was very loose and they could not fix because there was not enough gold around the stone and they are not sure what gold they have put in it as it is not stamped.
Have had work done there before, but now not so sure.
Nearly lost my beautiful diamond, still have not told my partmer that I had it remodelled, as he chose the ring for me.
So just be cautious before you hand over your precious jewellery.
Only found the diamond because my partner will tell you he stumped his toe on it.
