have both said forget it,it's really not worth it.I am sure that no one means you any offence but for the price you can buy grog for in Bali it is just not worthwhile to stuff around with.
Since Clovis specifically mentioned red wine I will go further re that in the off chance that you are a drinker of reds.As a born & bred resident of the Wine capital of Australia & a drinker of red wine I can state that good quality red wine does not like travelling to Bali.
On one trip many years ago for some silly reason we decided to take 2 bottles of really good red with us.One was going to be a present for a good expat friend but we ended up tipping it down the drain because we would not have insulted a friend with an gift like of spolit wine.By the time we opened the 1st bottle after travelling around Bali a bit as we usually do it was it had been juggled around so much in our suitcases & tasted like vinegar.
If you are a drinker of spirits then you can get local brands at very cheap prices if you are that way inclined or top end stuff like you'd drink in Oz at reasonable price.
Seriously forget the chances of bribes or payments to get extra grog through,these days it's just not worth it.
