Do not go with crazy expectations of seeing total paradise and nothing bad. Bali is a paradise but sometimes you do have to see past the dirt and rubbish. Remember it is a poor island and can sometimes look like a poor island but the true paradise and wealth of Bali is in the hearts of the Balinese - truly wonderful and accommodating hosts.
But that said it is geographically a stunning island and in the main does look like paradise.
Make sure you take as many opportunities as you can to speak and interact with the Balinese and you will have a wonderful time.
