i FLY qANTAS HAVE NEVER HAD MY HAND LUGGAGE WEIGHED- EITHER WAY. But on our return trip last week, I was really amazed at the amount of carry on luggage that some people had! They had backpacks and huge carry on bags- and more than one. By the time we boarded, ther ewas no room left in the overhead locker and we had to squash our carry on luggage underneath the seats in front of us! The hostess on the plane seemed unconcerned that there was no room left in our overhead lockers and suggested that we try and fit our hand luggage underneath the seats in front of us.
