Ketupat is moderately priced but surroundings, service & food are all five star. Behind Jonathan Gallery in Jl Legian. I think this is the best value restaurant in the area. It serves haute Indonesian cuisine. Superb. Lovely set-back bales for private dining as well as tables set around a beautiful pool with candelabras. Because it's back from the street, it is very quiet so you shouldn't have problems with a large group - it's always quiet there. About A$10 a head for a pig out with a bir or 2. It's around the cost of Indo Nat.
Alternatively, The Balcony is great value for classy service & food. Cheaper than Ketupat but not as good. Both places would impress. Also Un's in the lane between Jl Pantai & Poppies 1 - bit more exey, but fab. If you're interested search here for them or do another post & I'll dig out my notebooks.
