Hi Andy.I use to be a Forensic photographer and on some my last few trips I took some great subject shots down the back alleys behind the Legian shopping area.The little kids and old people are great and were captured doing there everyday chores.
It all depends on the shots you want (ie) scenery etc but anywhere in Bali is great. The sunsets are a must particularly on Lembognan Island.Uluwatu and Padang Padang are other areas you will be pleased with.
Don't forget to give the locals a tip and they will oblige willingly. My wife loves scrap booking and is very good with it. The photo's I have taken in the past have been preserved and presented at there best. I could go on for hours but experiment with your shots and you will be rewarded.
