Had another fantastic trip to Bali, full of so much fun!!

Spent 12 days in bali, flew from Cairns via darwin with Qantas, smooth flying!!
Stayed at the maharta in Legian, which was very nice and clean, a great breakfast and beautiful gardens. Hired motorbikes for the whole time to cruise around on, got an international license, but managed to avoid any run ins with the polisi.
The first day i had a trip to the dentist at mall galleria, as i chipped my tooth the night before travelling to bali, had to get a filling, cost 400 000Rp, very happy with the clean service and professionality! then discovered the Billabong sales at Kuta galleria, 75% off all stock!!! was great!! we went back 3 times, i ended up buying a total of 35 new billabong items!! for between $5 and $10Aud each item, i got bikinis, t shirts, denim jeans, board shorts, singlets, dresses etc. Yes a whole new wardrobe!!!
Ate at many yummy restruants, my favs were: Warung Murah at jl 66, always guaranteed fresh, local tasty food for minimal price. La luciola was another favourite!!! Indo national (no more pizza complete on the menu tho, bit disappointed), Poco Loco, Uncle Norms, Le Monde, and the famous garden view sunday roast to name a few. Also went to Jimbaran bay one night, was pretty busy, very tasty food in a beautiful setting!!!
Made the most of happy hours, consumed many Bali Moon cocktails.
Enjoyed one of my friends birthday party at the legend, was very entertaining. Was very busy at the legend, never any empty tables!! the new renovations look great. Yellowband performed, as good as ever!!!
Went to the indoor snow centre in central parking kuta galleria, was so much fun, very cold but, -20*, lucky they provide warm jackets, didnt help the feet in thongs tho!!!!
Had many sunset drinks at Ketuts beach bar, met some cool new people, and also caught up with old friends!!
Bounty is still the best club, very busy and lots of fun, watchout for the strong cocktails tho, i think i had too many!!!! Also went to MBargo, skygarden, apache bar, paddys!!! and the new Bali rock too, flash new renovations, enjoyed the free pool tables too!!! Popped in to Hulu Cafe a couple of times, its a very entertaining place, bar staff very friendly!!!

Went to Kintamani for lunch and stopped in at the monkey temple on the way home, saw Sigrid Thorton waling the streets of Ubud!!
Went to Dreamland for a visit, wow this place has grown, so so so tourist filled now, i remember going a few years ago and being the only group of people on the beach, and now ur lucky to find a bed with umbrella!! Stopped off at the Ripcurl/ quicksilver/ Roxy sale on Jl Bypass road on the way home from Dreamland, yes got more discounted surf clothes, this sale was 50% off.
Did quite a lot of shopping, just the usual stuff, like cds, dvds, clothes, presents, jewellery. The average rate for AUD was 7500. Went to geneva, no new stuff, the same stuff as previous trips!

Bought new suitcases from Matahari, u beaut ones that lock the zips in. So good that i locked my friends zips in without setting the code first, and she had to get her zips bolt cutted open when we got back!!!

Made our way sadly back tot he airport for the dreaded midnite late flight, managed to escape excess baggage with all of my new billabong purchases!!!

Left our liquids at the gate entrance and got frisked, then hopped on the plane back to darwin, then waited, then on the next plane to cairns. Then we drove my friends car to townsville (with no sleep before) and then it over heated and broke down in Ingham, we arrived in townsville at 6pm, after 18 hours of travel!!! Checked into a motel and went straight to sleep. This motel cost us per night what 2 weeks accomodation in bali cost us!!!!

Another fantastic time in bali, so many good times were had over there, so many lovely and beautiful people. Im already planning my next trip, ive got the bali blues!! :(

I must also say, i came home to see on the news the latest updated warnings about travel to Indonesia (including Bali), not once did i feel scared or threatened in any way. I was in Bali when the second bombings hapenned 2 years ago, and that hasnt stopped me travelling back to my favourite place!!!!
