She is a lovely young 69 year old who has never left the ground before. We lost Dad in November last year and conned her into coming.
We being
No .1 .daughter, her other half, her daughter and her husband.
Me No. 2 . daughter, my darling and No. 2 son. (18)
No. 2. Brother, his darling and their daughter, her partner and the twins (22, 18 & 18 )
No .3. daughter, the wog and her daughter, son and 2 of Leha's mates (girls) (16,16,17 & 14) and a pile of others.
We left No .1. brother and his family at home.(Its hard work running a vineyard)

Ma slotted straight in, I guess that she has heard us all go on about Bali for the last 25 years, that woman knew everthing.
The locals where fantastic with her, she got lost with the money and ended up with the purse open and them showing her which ones to give them, never a problem, never ripped off.
She was amazed that as she wanders down the road they remembered her name!
The Taxi drivers would toot and Ma would wave her arm and as they wound down the window she would say "thank you - but no thank you - bye bye, it was classic, bloody beautiful, every time someone honked, out would come those words! we all still laugh.
She had a nap one afternoon and when she got up none of us (30 odd people) where anywhere to be seen so she decided that we must be down the beach with Ketut (Ketute Beach Bar) so off she went, out of the hotel heading towards Kuta (wrong way), security asked where she was off to and turned her around and off she went, had to stop at the Circle K for something and got lost again only this time asked and was most impressed when one if the boys offered her a lift on his bike (she didn't) Mean time some of us are down with Ketut and the phone rings No 1. ( I can't find mum!) She wasn't with us,, brother wanders down ("where's mum??) as panic starts to set in, up she strolls!
Boy did she cop it.
The good news is that she loves the place and is going back next May with her 81 year old sister!! (God help bali - they are both so polite!!)
The locals where really good to her, you can see the respect for the old folk shine thru.

She loves the place and I am so glad that she now understands what we all go on about.
Thanks mum for making this holiday a beauty. Luv Ya.

Lee
