of tourists who travel to Bali in our experience, those who love it and those ( like our local doctor) who stay at Nusa Dua in luxury hotels, hate the place and never go back! The latter type of tourist are the ones who always prefer their holidays in western countries! Nothing wrong with that as we're all different! Good on you for trying, my family just refuse to go there period!
