I just got back on July 7th after 14 days in Bali. I have been going every year for the past 10 years. I found it to be busy compared to April last year and the times directly after the bombings.
Last week (start of Melbourne school holidays) saw many Aussies. Had to book for our our Seaside restaurant which is normally empty. Had to book for many other restaurants which was a fisrt in many many years.
The hotels were also booked. Padma could not change rooms (so we could be next door to out friends) as they were fully booked. Hotel swimming pools were full of people, unlike last year when we had the pool to ourselves.
Lots of people on the streets. I don't know if it was due to school holidays, but it seemed as though the Bali of old was making a come back.
