I buy from a store that is opposite Matahari in Kuta. It is in the street I call Timeshare Lane (as you get accosted by the touts as you get out of taxis outside Matahari, or enter walking from the street that runs to the beach). It is about opposite McDonalds, or maybe along a bit more towards the kink in the road. Sure, you can get cheap sneakers at stalls, but for something I will be exercising in I do prefer to go to a shop that has quality shoes - at good prices still, compared to home.
