Haven't been called a pig in a long time; mind you I've made a pig of myself quite oftenand even in your doggy-loving company.

Just quietly, it offends me to see the richer people in Bali, trotting their pampered pooches around the place as a "keeping up with Bule" sort of gesture.

Although we all, including your good self, help to put food on as many Balinese tables as possibe and that's as it should be; in fact, last time we dined together, I witnessed your great generosity to beach people and that of that Young Lady you travel with doing the same, paying above and beyond the Japanese price even!

However, it offends my sense of fairness knowing that aforesaid Fido & Friends consume, on a weekly basis, enough protein to keep an average Balinese poorer family above the starvation line for a month. On my own part, I have not kept another Irish Setter since Fergus passed on in 1989, with this knowledge in mind.

If I named you PIG, you might be in danger next time in Bali### -:)) so I'll restrain myself lest the word filter back to our mutual friends..

Your friend forever,

Peter Piggy Ryan
