There are definately good deals to be had. For 2 weeks in a 5 star (jumior suite) all inclusive, cost with return air from Vancouver and transfers was $1600 last year. The tours are expensive though. Castro has decided that his dollar is now worth more than the american dollar (exchange rate was 10% when I was there) and they price tours at a cost they consider comparable to the United states. I'm not sure what exchange they offer on the Euro or Aussie dollar though. Of course there isn't a whole lot of places to spend money anyways.
