not meaning to criticise Filo's blog over 1 point (and I haven't yet read all of it) but it is a fairly glaring error.
I quote Filo's blog...

My SosBud Visa costs $60 (quote http://www.kbri-canberra.org.au/consular/visa/visa_social.htm "Visa fee A$ 60.00 and has to be made in money order or company cheque payable to the Indonesian Embassy."), not $160
Also, It is for 60 days (not 2 months, difference can be 2 days @ US$20 per day), (quote http://www.kbri-canberra.org.au/consular/visa/visa_social.htm "A single entry social visit visa will be issued for up to 60 (sixty) days".
However, you can (apply to) renew 4 more times every 30 days for Rp 250.000 each time for the 1st and 2nd renewals, Rp 300.000 each time for the 3rd and 4th renewals as they need to go to a different department in Denpasar as well, claiming their Rp 50.000 each time.
YOU have to renew, not the sponsor. It is YOUR vias. You do, however, need a Surat Permintaan Dan Jaminan and Letter of Sponsorship, both signed by your sponsor. Do not lose contact with your sponsor !!!
It may seem nit-picking of me to write this but it is "fairly" important to a large and growing number of people.
