on 2 different days as Uluwatu where the Kecak dance is starts at sunset, you would need to be there at about 5.30/6pm.
The distance between Uluwatu and Tanah lot is about a 40 min drive, not sure on actual kilometres.
But it is better to see Tanah Lot at sunset also, there are some great market stalls and warungs there so you could spend a few hours just wandering.
Last oct Tanah Lot held the biggest Kecak dance ever, there were over 5000 dancers from Tabanan, it was awesome to watch, but was a once of event.
