is for a real estate company to find a place and then put another 10% on the top. By just spreading the word when you get here you will get to see a better cross section of what is available. I tend to hang out on the Sanur side of the island and as such am not really on top of what is happening in the the Canggu and Kerobokan areas.
In Sanur I have some cobbers who rent a fully furnished, two story house with 4 bedrooms and 4 ensuites for $5,000 per year. To have a place with a pool the price jumps to around the $9,000 mark.
Another mate just purchased a small house on 400 sq metres of land. This cost him $75,000. Just remember the word "villa" is used very loosely here. You will be taken to see a few "villas" that are in reality only one bedroom flats.
