As you are in South Australia you may want to have a look at the sponsorships being sought by Rotary Club of Gawler. They have just started to get involved in a similar project to Rotary Swan Valley (Perth).
For our part, we sponsor 2 kids at Sembung SD 7 and are very happy with the whole set up from Noel to the Rotarians in Denpasar. It's a great way to get more involved with Bali and it's people.
