Friday 16th March

I had a fantastic night's sleep, unlike the night before when strange dreams had plagued what little sleep I managed. I got the kids ready for school but not before my normally well adjusted teenage daughter chose to have an angsty moment. Quick goodbyes are always so much better than long drawn out ones, though seeing my girls head off did cause some tears.

Caught the bus 9am, arrived at stop 1 (Australind) at noon. My friend Donna picked me up, she was coincidentally on the same flight as me. We hung around waiting and waiting and more waiting. Finally left Australind to head to Perth about 5.30.... had to change vehicles though as 5 women and bags would not go into boot of car.... Had to take a land cruiser...hehe!

Spent the night at Intercity motel (no complaints... would recommend to anyone that needs an overnighter in Perth - free transfers and can leave your car there for free too!)

Saturday 17th - St Pats Night

Had a sleepless night..... don't we all that night before we head off... I just can't wait to get there. Finally decided to get up at 5am - actually had time to wash and blow dry my hair... More obligatory waiting at the airport. Waiting around for nearly 24 hours was really beginning to irk me no end.

Flight over was ok. An hour of seat belt time as we passed through storms over Pilbarra coast. Excellent landing. Oh so good to be home!

I had approximated an hour from landing to being at Suri Wathi and was spot on. Pretty good considering I was right at the back of the plane.

My good friend Di was supposed to meet me at the hotel but... hmm she had other 'programme' with Prada & Versace..... luckily the lovely Petron yelled out 'Sharonnnnn!' from the pool. Flung my bags into the room, rummaged for bathers... (might just wear them next time to save time! ;) and hit that pool.

An hour or so of catching up with Sharon, we had met briefly last March, a vehicle pulls up and I hear a voice call out, 'Is she here? Where is me little darlin?' Di had arrived back - and the hugs were on.

We had a quick trip down to Ketut's after lunch at Breeze. Organised massages and nails etc with Lisa who works at Diks Daks, gorgeous girl!

Swim & massage and prepare for St Pats Day celebrations... had our nails painted in a lovely shade of green to mark the occasion. Lisa thought we were nuts... she came to realize over the next two weeks that this thought was actually a reality but that's ok we had fun.

St Pat's Day - ok so I lied... Di and I popped in briefly. Had one drink and left! Maybe it was two, possibly three but certainly wouldn't have been any more than that!

Heard a rumour that later in the night they had the drag queen on, some dancing on the stage, a little bit of karaoke you know the sort of stuff silly people get up to when they've had more than 3 drinks.

Tina and Belinda arrived, for the life of me I could not tell you what time it was. I know we had hugs and kisses all round. I know at some point we all went to bed. And I know that that was my first day in back in Bali over.
