One of the most fasinating places (well to me it was) I went to was the factory/studio where ogah ogahs are made. The boss is called Wayan Candra and everyone said he is No.1 ogah ogah maker. His place is a huge wear house and was full of arms, legs and bodies without heads. It looked like there had been a massacre hehehe. Pots of paint, tools, chunks of styrofoam. He gave me a tiger head that he painted himself and signed.
Most afternoons were spent with my good friends Irene and Cath on their balcony at Garden View sharing wine and nibbles and comparing shopping stories. Then we went to dinner together at diffrent places. The Flying Piano did a very yummie prawn salad while the owner played on baby grand.
My other favourit place is The Foo Kin pub where I had chicken stake with black bean sauce. Rick now has his own dominoes set and will take on all comers but be warned he now holds the title of Jenga King. He very kindly walked me back to my hotel, you earned your brownie (or should that be scout) points, Rick.
