I have noticed on our last few trips that people tend to grab their luggage by the pull up handle instead of the handle on the side of their bags when getting them off the carousel which can cause some damage to them especially if they are heavy. I bought a cheap light weight bag last trip and it ended up broken on its arrival on the carousel in Brisbane which didn't matter as it only cost $15 at a sale and I can use it for storage now.
