with the trouble that they are having at the new airport you might find that you have to change airports in Bangkok. That is arrive at the new one on your DPS-BKK flight and then depart from the old terminal when going to Phuket (also will apply in reverse). The problem here is that you will have to allow extra time on the ground in BKK to get the bus that will operate between the two terminals. If you book this way check with the airline/agent to see what terminal/airport the BKK-Phuket flight is going from. Just something to consider :O)
